Women & Young People

Let me help you change your life!!

Young People

Brief, solution-focused counselling works well for young people, who like results fast. It also keeps costs at an affordable level. Common issues for young people include: depression, anxiety, panic attacks, sexual abuse, bullying, family breakdown, eating disorders, self-harm, low self-esteem, relationship problems.

I work at your pace.  I will not put pressure on you – you can stop when you want.   I can use a range of creative tools in our work together.  Change can be rapid, comfortable and effective!  It feels so good to regain control of your life!

Some comments by young people I have worked with:

"Thank you!  I now feel more confident than scared."

"felt comfortable . . "         "didn't judge me . . ."

"very supportive . . ."        "really look forward to sessions . . ."

"relaxed and easy to talk to . . . "

"You don’t know how much I appreciate what you've done and enjoyed my time with you.  I don't know what I'd have done without you!"

Do something really positive today!

Parents: If you are a parent of an adolescent or teenager who you think would benefit from counselling, I would be delighted to accept a referral. Please bear in mind however, that young people need to want counselling. It will not work with any young people who are reluctant, with no motivation to work with me or change.  Young people often feel a lot better and more motivated after the first session, so give it a go.

There are free counselling services locally for young people aged 11-25, although there may be a waiting list:
